Sharing Life With Others

Blogs I Recommend

There are so many talented people I admire and I’d like to share a few of them with you.  I will add to this list and I encourage you to share blogs with me!

Mike McCormick is a dear friend, fabulously inspired chef, and a reporter (yes, he works for the competition but that is a story for another day.)  Mike’s  GONE DISHING blog is packed full of exciting recipes.  He uses his natural curiosity to try out new ingredients and shows us step by step how to make wonderful dishes.  Mike also goes the extra step to post pictures all along the way through the recipe.  I love that. Cookbook publishers could learn a thing or two from him! I promise by the time you read through his recipes you’ll be drooling and ready to head to the store to get the ingredients so you can try the recipes out!

Haley is an acquaintance from the blogging world.  She and I have never met.  Haley has embarked on a really neat challenge of eating local food for a year.  She is chronicling the journey and letting us peek in on what she is doing through her Real People, Real Local blog.   Haley has a great writing style and shares great insight on food and her life.

Margaret Feinberg is perhaps one of the most God inspired women I’ve ever met.  I found her originally through Twitter and jumped on the bandwagon to help promote her book “Wonderstruck” through a social media event.  I have read almost all of her books. Once you get started you don’t want to stop.

I had the pleasure of meeting her in Greenville, SC in 2013 when she was one of the speakers at the Extraordinary Women’s Conference. I was amongst a sea of hundreds of women and Margaret made me feel like I was the only person who mattered to her at that moment. Her blog reminds me how important it is to be in tune with the Creator.  Margaret shares her life and the lives of others through her work.  Check out her blog here.

Tony Snipes’ blog Art Lessons From God is geared toward helping people discover their purpose.  Tony has been a friend for many years.  He is also a talented artist, social media expert, and cares about people.  Even if you think you don’t have a creative bone in your body Tony can find a way to energize and inspire.

Dwayne Morris’ blog MorrisMatters.com is part of a journey where he is “helping people leverage for God’s glory.” His content is top notch and always relevant.  Dwayne is a pastor and a good friend.  Check out Dwayne’s book “The Outrageous Life.”

Jaimie Moore’s blog  The Flying Tire comes from the journey that he and her husband Jimmy share after an accident changed their lives forever.  Jaimie and Jimmy worked with me at WSPA TV. Jaimie is keeping her skills alive as she shares what life is like caring for her family.  She is inspirational and real.

Dan Cathy’s blog shares life experiences and tips. Mr. Cathy is the President and CEO of one of my favorite companies, Chick-fil-A.   Besides running one of the most successful companies in the United States, he is an outstanding leader.

Jeff Goins’ shares his experiences as an author and encourages others to write and publish their own books.  Even if you aren’t interested in writing his insights are extraordinary.  Check out Jeff Goins: Writer.   Jeff also has started a movement called the Slow Down Challenge.  He sparks the idea that we all need to take time out to enjoy life.  There is a Facebook group where you can interact as well. I’ve found many new friends who embrace the challenge!
